'Party for the Planet', on July 7th

The Woodcraft Folk's C-Change project is hosting this free fun day for young people, children and families for everyone to come together and help make a difference.

On Saturday 7 July, Clapham Common, London will be swarming with activities, performers, games, music, interactive instillations, people and stalls on how we can tackle climate change. It will be a celebration of the planet we live on and how important it is that we take care of it. Make a date to be there. Followed by a unique unsigned Battle of the Bands.
C-Change is a new project for young people by young people, about Climate Change. The interactive website www.switchonswitchoff.org is full of exciting ideas, games and info on actions you can take. Run by the Woodcraft www.woodcraft.org.uk and the Centre of Alternative Technology

A group of us from Southwark Woodcraft ran a eco-powered juice workshop. It was a big hit with families but I wouldn't recommend bicycle-powered food processors to anyone.
We also set up our Playout tent to offer the children at the event free co-operative games and environment-themed arts and crafts.
